You can become a doctor in Morocco with a Chinese degree. Hundreds have done it. However, the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education does not grant “Automatic Equivalence” to foreign medical degrees. You will face a bureaucratic process that takes 6–12 months and usually requires a competency exam.

You’ve heard the rumors in the café. “My cousin’s neighbor studied in China and now he sells phones in Derb Ghallef because the Ministry rejected his diploma.” These stories are terrifying because they are partially true.
Most study-abroad agencies won’t tell you about the “Equivalence” (Mo3adala). They just want your commission. They sell you the “Admission Letter” and disappear. When you return to Morocco 6 years later, holding a degree from a low-tier private college that isn’t on the WHO list, you are on your own against the Moroccan administration. That is a battle you will lose.
The solution is not luck; it is strategy. You must choose a university that is already in the Moroccan Ministry’s “Green Zone.”
Stop confusing these two terms.
Imagine your diploma is a traveler returning home. To cross the border into the “Land of Employment,” it must pass three gates:
Here is exactly what happens when you land back in Morocco with your degree:
1. Online Pre-Registration (Mandatory First Step) Before traveling to Rabat, you must first initiate the process digitally. Create an account and upload your scanned documents at equivalence.enssup.gov.ma/account/register.
2. Physical Deposit: Once you receive the “OK” (Online Validation of your documents). You take an appointment from the online platform, you can then proceed to the next step. Travel to the Ministry of Higher Education in Rabat (Service des Équivalences) to physically deposit your paper dossier. Do not go before getting this online confirmation.
3. The Commission Review A group of professors reviews your transcript. If your university is famous (e.g., Zhejiang University, Wuhan University), this is fast. If it is obscure, they investigate further.
The “Stage Complémentaire”: In 90% of cases, for Medicine (Médecine Générale), the Commission will ask you to do one year of internship (Stage) in a Moroccan CHU (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire) and pass an exam at the end.
Note: This is not a rejection! It is a standard procedure to ensure you know the Moroccan health system.
You cannot wait until you graduate to prepare. You must start Day 1.

We guide you step by step to choose the right university and build a strong application.
You pick a university because “the tuition is cheap” (e.g., 15,000 RMB). You arrive, the labs are empty, and the hospital has no patients. The degree you get is technically legal, but the Moroccan commission views it as “weak.” You face 2-3 years of delays upon return.
You choose a “Double First-Class” Chinese University. These are the elite schools.
Don’t bargain with your education. If you want to work in Morocco, you must study at a university that Morocco respects.
Studying medicine in China is not a “Plan B.” It is a superpower. You return with a medical degree plus fluent Mandarin—a skill that makes you invaluable to the new Chinese hospitals opening in Tangier and Mohammed VI Tech City. You are not just a doctor; you are a bridge between two nations.
Why gamble with your future? Great Wall Education specializes in placing Moroccan students exclusively in universities that are fully certified by the Ministry. Contact our experts today to get your guaranteed ‘Safe List’ match and skip the administrative nightmare completely.

Yes. Once you obtain the Equivalence, you register with the Ordre National des Médecins. You have the exact same rights as a doctor who graduated from Rabat.
The Ministry accepts degrees taught in English. However, for the Stage in Morocco, you must speak French/Arabic to talk to patients.
Yes, the procedure is identical, though the internship duration in Morocco may vary (usually shorter for Pharmacy).
