China is one of the most fashionable destinations for pursuing higher education. Indeed, it is a country very popular with Moroccan students for university studies and language stays. Chinese universities offer an education system similar to that of Anglo-Saxon countries. One of the great advantages of studying in China is that the largest universities have set up faculties specifically for foreign students to learn the language. The Chinese education system contains 3 categories of higher education establishments: public general education universities, higher continuing education establishments and private higher education establishments.For those who wish to study in China, know that the higher education system in China follows the Anglo-Saxon model:The College Certificate or “zhuan ke” is obtained after three years of study. The Bachelor or “xue shi” requires four years of study and is the equivalent of a license in the Moroccan education system. The Master or “shuo shi” takes place over three years following the Bachelor title. The Doctorate or “bo shi” is open to holders of a Master’s degree, and generally takes place over 3 years.

It is not obligatory to learn Mandarin to study in China! The majority of Chinese universities have opened up internationally and offer courses in English. They are therefore either faculties specially dedicated to learning the Mandarin language, or the student chooses to follow a course in English.
To enroll in a Chinese university, we often ask for the results of language tests:
HSK Mandarin test results if the chosen program is taught in Chinese
TOEFL or IELTS results if the chosen program is taught in English.
Tuition fees in China generally run around $1000 – $2000 per semester in US dollars depending on the school and program of study. Degree master’s programs take 2-3 years (4-6 semesters) to complete. Engineering and technical degrees generally require 3 years of study.
